Isaiah 40:1-2

40 Comfort, O comfort, My people,
    says your God.
² Speak kindly to Jerusalem,
    and cry to her
that her warfare has ended,
    that her iniquity has been pardoned,
that she has received of the hand of the Lord
    double for all her sins.
